I want to add a 2" diagonal to my CPC9.25, primarily for DSLR work. I'm fairly confused on which way to go. Astronomics has this one . Astro Physics also has a "(ADASCT)" adapter, I assume you use a standard refractor diagonal with it. It looks pretty long in the pictures, though. Could sure use some comments. Hubert

I use the A-P (ADASCT) visual back with a "refractor" diagonal, or straight-throught for AP. It's not very thick, and it is robust. I'm curious as to why you would want to use a diagonal for photography.

That's part of what I'm not sure of; it would seem running straight thru, you might have clearance problems near the zenith. Is that not so? Hubert

I've used the rather long TeleVue 2" adaptor with a TV 2"diagonal and have plenty of room.

I am using the SA 10:1 focuser that I put the diagonal into. Plenty of clearance.

I'm very satisfied with a 2" TV diagonal plugged into a JMI 2" focuser on my CPC 925.

I use the CNCSupply 2" adaptor with a DSLR straight through; I haven't had the scope at zenith, but there seems to be plenty of clearance; the back of a DSLR would only be maybe 1/2" at most more than the 2" diagonal.
I did find the camera viewfinder awkward until I got the right angle attachment (which has the advantage that I can get VERY close to focuse with it).

I believed you all the way down to: "Two not-spoiled Golden Retrievers - Maggie and Casey" Mind telling me what kind of camera you use? Is the RA veiwfinder camera specific? Hubert

Just a followup. I decided to go with the GSO dual speed focuser, purchased from Agena. It came in yesterday, so of course we have a hurricane threatening! No idea when I'll have the opportunity to test it out. It did fit on the back of the scope with no problems whatsoever. Hubert
