Thanks everyone for your inputs. Seller contacted with Celestron, but they don't sell a single corrector plate!! They need all the scope to accurate the replacement and everything... But I live in Spain, and it isn't a viable way... Maybe the option is to send to the factory the biggest cracked glass to determinate a new similar spare one?
Thanks again

Not sure that would help, they want the whole scope so they can go through their inventory of correctors and find one matched to your primary/secondary mirror as a whole. On paper, you could do it with a whole corrector, but not a single part. It is the variations in the mirrors and corrector that make them unique. Sending a fragment means they would be trying to identify a matching fingerprint from a small piece of the fingerprint.

Usually they don't go looking for a corrector; they replace all the optics. Celestron matches sets by doing some minor touch-up figuring to the secondary until the optics meet specs.

I said "usually"...I've also heard of them doing every variation in-between.

Ouch, sorry to hear. I hope you got a cheap price on EBay?

I also have a cracked corrector plate on my C8. Fortunately, the crack is pretty minimal, and the scope works great.

Celestron quoted a corrector plate replacement at $400 several weeks ago. I'm guessing shipping back and forth to the factory would add on another $100, at at least (they install the plate, not you). In my case, at this price, it isn't worth it (likely the conclusion they wanted me to make).

Corrector plates show up on EBay from time to time. We'll probably get in a bidding war...
