Hi again,
I had forgotten how huge this target is! I'm going to have another crack at it someday with more data. If I remember to bring the field flattener along, I might be able to mosaic it together.
Click here for a larger version (~340kb).
NGC1499, The California Nebula Capture date: September 2, 2008 Scope: WO FLT 110 (TMB) @ f/7 Mount: EQ6 Pro, autoguided Camera: modified Canon 350 Exposure: 130 minutes, 13x600sec lights @ ISO800, plus darks, flats, flat-darks Conditions: average seeing, good transparency, lots of dew (was set up on the shores of a large lake) Processing: stacked in DeepSkyStacker, processed in PS CS2
Thanks again for looking! Feedback and suggestions always welcome.
Adam

This is a lot better than mine will come out. I have a pile of California nebula subs waiting for processing. But they're in the queue behind M33, Iris, pacman nebula, M2, NA nebula, NGC 5033 etc etc.
Great focus, tracking, colors.. this will be an awesome mosaic for certain!

Sure, my pleasure! For this image at least, I seem to have a little extra. Unfortunately most of the red I usually capture is light pollution.
