Security... Arial views....

For those that are truly worried about burglars, you might not want the 'ROAD MAP' link on your clear sky clock to actually work...

Just look at any CSC and hit the Road Map link...

The Bird's Eye view at http://maps.live.com is pretty slick. I have all 4 directional views (N, E, W and S) of my observatory at http://www.stargate4173.com/Phase3/index.htm. The center icon still takes you to the construction details of my observatory; the surrounding "bird's eye" links take you to a larger image of the respective view.

My CSC "road map" location is on the roof of some shyster lawyers office in downtown San Antonio.

Hi all,

My observatories cab be seen on the CSC site for each one.

Dark Sky in North Central Iowa has a POD now but will show the previous "Thinking Outside" shed between the barn and the corn crib at the South edge. This site has excellent East, South and West horizon views.

The Northern Illinois Observatory is 45 miles west of Chicago. It is the large building (10 X 15) out from the deck. This observatory has a split roll off roof and holds two telescopes.

It's fun to look at these sites from a satellite perspective. My first view of my Illinois home (about 6 years ago) was actually from a Russian satellite.

When using te Sat image on the CSC just click on the Sat image and then click on the street view. The street view will place an icon on the exact location. Then, zoom in.

Is that a sneaky way to brag about your dark skies?
