At the edge of mare humorum exist some craters, which are partial flooded by the mare's lava. The larges one is Doppelmayr. Yesterday, on September 11th, at 19h30 I sketched this region as seen in my 6"Mak@180x.

Uwe,
Beautifully constructed and shaded drawing which creates wonderful depth for an interesting moonscape. You have even captured the tilt in these craters towards the center of the maria. Excellent

Very nicely done. Don't be afraid to apply your pencil a little heavier because you can always use a blending stump or finger or cotton swab to smooth out or lighten what might be a little dark. These little tools are nice to explore also because the gently soften graded areas of light to dark or dark to light.
Look forward to more of your sketches.

Uwe,
I went over to your webpage to look around. You have a good collection of lunar sketches there. You should post some of them here, they are very nice. I didn't look at all the drawing you have but all that I looked at were very good.

Beautiful quick rendering! You have captured a great realistic perspective in this impression with minimal shading and line. This is an excellent example to show others who may have never sketched yet, what they might try for.
You've reminded me that I need to do more quick sketches and not always feel that I have to stress to produce my usual large and overworked pieces.
I look forward to seeing more of your work,
Mark
