I wanted to try out this EP for projection astrophotography with a DSLR. I know that it's designed for digicams, but its 75mm focal length would give good low power projection images.
http://www.williamoptics.com/eyepiecesDCL/dcl52_features.php
The only problem I have is that the thread on the EP is 52mm. And for some reason that seems to be a terrible size to get adapters in. I have a T-ring in my 450D, but the only adapter i found that's close is a 52mm to T, and while the photo looks like it should work, the description says otherwise.

The only other options I see, are using the DCL in my Max-View projection adapter (but then it's just another bulky setup and i could go with a long f/l plossl), or by using something like the scopetronix Uni-T, though this looks very unstable.
Does anybody have any mounting advice or know of a T to 52mm adapter? Or would I be better of just buying a good ultrawide EP for projection. Thanks!

You're right - the description is definitely at odds with the picture.
How about a combination of two rings: a T-thread to 43mm adaptor (for use with a Baader Hyperion or Pentax XW eyepiece if you have one) coupled to a 43mm to 52mm step ring.

You will need a Borg adapter #7522. It has a female 52mm (0.75mm pitch) thread on one side and a male T-thread (0.75mm pitch) on the other side.
http://www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/borg/parts/html/7522.htm

The description on the Japanese website is
Side A: M36.4P1 female and M42P0.75 male
Side B: M57P0.75 male and 52mm thread for a filter (0.75mm pitch)

Jim and Anat, thanks a million! I wasn't able to find these on my own. The Borg looks a bit simpler in design, but I might pick up the T-43mm and 43mm-52mm if a certain Hyperion I was eyeing is still available.

Based on the various adapters and step rings I've purchased in the past, I'd expect the Borg to be substantially more solid than my proposed two ring solution. Depending on the weight of your camera, this might be an important consideration.
My only caveat is the inner diameter of the Borg ring (35.9mm). The Baader ring is probably around 38.5mm inside diameter, if my Baader T-thread to M42P1 ring is anything to go by. I don't know if this could be a problem, given the large eye lens of the DCL-52.
