Saddle plate for EM-200
      #2654547 - 09/21/08 10:31 AM

Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading my WO saddle for my EM-200 mount for a "dual knob" saddle plate system. They seem more secure to me.

Does anybody have any experience with the saddle plates from ADM (Anthony Davoli)?

Eddy,

ADM makes high quality products. I don't have the specific saddle you are looking for, but everything I have purchased from ADM has been great.

I have one for a Vixen Sphinx mount and his products are first rate and priced very fairly.

For my EM200, I have a Robin Cassiday adapter with the usual Losmandy plate adapter and it is very high quality. I discovered from this product why his cost so much. It is extremely well made and uncompromising quality parts and final end product.

I'm using the CGE SBS Saddle on my CGE to hold a LSBS (side by side) setup for my TMB80SS and my brandy-new R200CF...

His saddles, plates, rings, dovetails are all "first rate" and top quality. Extremely solid gear. Highly recommended.

I have the Casady plate too and it's a work of art. Darned expensive though.

To agree with others-the Casady is great, can't say enough about the 'tip in' system, works great with a fully loaded 5.5" refractor. Worth every penny (and it was many of them).

I have both ADM and Casady plates (but not for the same mount), and both are exquisitely done. Half of one, six dozen of the other (or something like that ).

Hi Guys,

I am sorry not being able to answer earlier, but for the moment we had too much to do with our house for sale and looking for a new place to live.

But, I've been reading your post with interest .

I had some guiderings from Anthony and am convinced about the quality of his products. I just wondered about the saddle plate since his "concept" is a bit different from all the others I saw.
Thanks to your "reports" I got my order placed and ordered some dovetails plates as well that Anthony will special drill for my WO rings.

Thanks,
