2nd, 3rd & 4th Super Newbie Questions

First off I want to thank you all for your advice & ideas, you've been great! With your help I'm almost there
A couple of other questions come to mind though:

1) How specific in location do I need to be the next time I pull my scope out? Does it have to be in exactly the same spot? (I did mark it)
2) Is the readout on the handset always hard to read? Or is it just difficult in sunlight?
3) The handset shows Version 1.5, does this need to be upgraded? And how?

Sorry to be so full of questions

1) No, within 5 feet should not mess up General viewing.

2) Worse in sunlight. There is a brightness control for adjusting that, I think contrast, too. Also, if you are talking about the scroll being hard to read, you can adjust the scroll rate. I don't know where you are located, but the handbox is difficult to read in the cold weather. I place a dew zapper heating element over it and it is better.

3) Upgrades are downloadable from the Meade website.

All information is approximate and not guaranteed to be correct or insightful.

Thanks fastrudy I guess I didn't read the manual thoroughly enough , I didn't realize you could adjust the brightness/contrast or that the gps was that accurate. Guess I gotta hit the books again.
