the guy emailed me back with some info.."This is a 8"LX200 classic. Actually the optical tube is from an LX50. The LX50 I had had much better optics than the LX200 optical tube, so I changed them out." what do you all think now??

750 is very good, I hope not too good. There are variables in optics with any SCT scope, so it was a coincidence that his particular LX50 had better optics than his particular LX200 (the tubes are exactly the same).
Test it out and make sure GOTOs are good... if he didn't reattach the scope correctly, GOTOs will suffer.

The only difference is the LX50 had both an f/10 and f/6.3 OTA's... So what did he switch it out for?

Price seems very good, probably $150-$200 under market. I recently sold my 8" LX5 with JMI NGCmax for a little under that.

When you move the focuser back and forth, you will see the image move back and forth as the tilt of the mirror changes microscopically when you change focus directions. It should be small, say, one diameter of jupiter would be what I call acceptable. It can be helped by running the focuser all the way in and out repeatedly (20 or 30 turns!) to reditribute the grease on the interior focuser shaft.
