The Voodoo software that came with my SPC900NC works well with Vista. I have been using it since Feb 08

I use K3CCDTools. You can try it for free for 30 days. I bought it after that since it does a great job all around.

I know but I've already used it for 30 days and I don't want to spend money.
wxAstroCapture is a fine software? QcFocus don't want to run on Vista...

I like Astrocapture. It runs fine on my Vista powered laptop. I use it along with WcCtrl for settings. http://www.burri-web.org/bm98/soft/wcctrl/

I'll second that combo! Hopefully after a few more days I'll have my long exposure modded SPC900 and will be able to test out LE control from wxAstrocapture also.
After I get recovered from recovering from the Great Midwest "Hurricane" of '08 that is! At least it was only 5 hours or so of wind and dry!

Don't you first have to install Vista drivers for the Phillips SPC900NC webcam if you want a computer running Vista to recognize the SPC900NC webcam?
The original software disk that came with my Phillips SPC900NC webcam will not allow you to save clips in a .avi format. Also the original factory software disk didn't have any drivers on it for Vista.

I have Astrocapture running on my Vista laptop with the SPC900 also and it works very well. I tried using K3CCDtools and found it to be pretty cumbersome...perhaps it's better but for what I want Astrocapture is perfect.

I think you're right. It's been awhile since I set up my camera, so I can't remember for sure.
