A front surface mirror like the Sky Window can collect a lot of dust over time.
I tried a few solutions to clean it gently without scratching it.
I came up with the following idea. There is this polymer solution called 'first contact'. It's a polymer that needs to be applied as a viscous liquid over the surface. After drying, the polymer can be peeled of like a film off the mirror surface. It removes dust that way. I find it a little too expensive to use it for my mirror.
I tried the same with : tape, like Scotch Magic Tape. Here is a picture of the mirror covered with the tape.

This solution might work best on flat surfaces.
Don't know if it can be applied at lenses and curved mirrors.

One problem with tape might be adhesive residue left behind. I used to work in the adhesives industry and some tapes leave more behind than others. Try collodion?

Yikes! Take a tip from an ex-pro photographer... Just Say NO to tape, or special solutions that promise to lift the gunk off! I ruined a $1800 telephoto lens "cleaning" it with a solution used by pro lens and camera repair types (they know how, and more importantly -how much- to use) Talk to the gang on the reflector board... They have all sorts of solutions for cleaning reflector mirrors... Please avoid tape in the future, the glue residue will capture more dust than you can imagine... assuming it actually leaves the surface intact.

I'm wondering if by using tape, when you remove it, does the action leave a static charge on the mirror surface? If so, what a quick dust magnet that would be! The only place I would ever put tape on a mirror is at its "blind spot" on a newt mirror for collimation purposes only. Mr Q

The action of pulling plastic/magic tape off a surface WILL generate static electricity/create a charged surface.
