IYA on the net
      #2664701 - 09/26/08 01:55 PM

Many of us won't be able to attend the activities of the group personally that's for sure because of some circumstances like distance and lack of time. So why not put also the activities in the net?

Go easy it on it, the presence of IYA2009 would take place in form of video conference, live web casts of corner stone events, the cosmic diary besides many others.

Let us know if you have any newer ideas.

There are a lot of ways you can join in and participate. There are so many choices it might make your head spin.

It's late here as I write but, I will toss some possible choices your way.

IYA2009
IYA2009 US Node
IYA2009 on Twitter
IYA2009 US Node on Twitter
365 Days of Astronomy Podcast
365 Days of Astronomy on Twitter
IYA2009 Telescopes on Twitter
Astronomy Cast Podcast which takes a fact based journey through the cosmos
Singularity Television a live 24/7 Astronomy TV Channel Celebrating IYA2009
Universe Today

Checkout the sites and you will find a wealth of information and additional links to areas of your own interest.

If you want to keep up to date on IYA events and projects "Twitter" may be a good choice. The posts have links to news and events that will make you feel well connected.

I hope this helps. Have a great journey and enjoy the trip. Don.
