Hi,
I just found a good deal online for a Williams Optics 66m Zenithstar refractor and my birthday isn't too far away so I pulled the trigger. Was hoping someone could help me figure out how to connect this scope to my 450D for the best astrophotography performance. I'm 99% sure I'm going to order the .8X W.O. Reducer/Field Flattener for it. What kind of T adapter should I use? I'm a beginner but I've been using an 8"SCT thus far with a celestron SCT t-adapter. This adapter is about 3 inches long and has a diameter of 1.5 inches. Will this work with the WO 66 or should I buy a different t adapter (perhaps something shorter and/or with a wider diameter to reduce vignetting)? Thanks for any advice you have.
Tim

I know that the 66mm is a bit different from the larger scopes in the kind of visual back it has. But i believe that you can get an adapter with SCT threads on the rear, so that you could mate your T to SCT adapter on your '66.

I use the WO 0.8x Reducer / Field Flattener together with a regular Canon T-ring. That's all you need to get nice round stars covering the entire sensor.
The reducer/ff comes with one side being a SCT thread that is made specifically for connecting directly to the 66mm scopes. The other side is for your T-ring which connects the camera to the reducer/ff.
