I call this the Iron Man observatory cause it looks kind of shabby like the first suit when he came out of the cave. Its a stud frame, plywood sheathing, and aluminum siding all around with a split roof. Took me two days to get up. Makes observing a pleasure.

Very nice, Peter! More Pictures are required!
I'd like to see your pier setup and also your means of "ingress/egress", and also the split roof in action!

Looks good. When I was 15 my father and I built a platform in a section of our city garage and cut a section of the roof so that I could swing it open and closed. The lower section was used as a radio shack for my buddy next store. Of course, mine was not a professional as yours. Thanks, for bringing back some good memories looking at the stars while listening to broadcasts from other parts of the world. Can't wait for your pictures.
