That was a typo on my part. It was Rick F. I got the email from.

I got my hands on a small 1.25" diagonal hoping 1) the weight is not too much and 2) that I can reach focus with the diagonal in place.
Will I put the 13mm Ethos into it?

Might be a problem. With the 18x eyepiece there is very little in focus travel left. Certainly not enough for a star diagonal.
BTW, tonight is decently clear. The 1st qtr Moon was pretty sharp in the Galileoscope. Some noticeable CA on the edge, probably from the eyepiece lenses. Saturn was a tiny disc.

A 10mm Ethos works fine. At NEAF, Al Nagler used the 10mm Ethos with the production Galileoscope. There's a picture somewhere in one of the NEAF threads.

A dozen Galileoscope telescopes were delivered to the Parks and Recreation office today! I did not recieve an email regarding shipment prior to delivery.
Put one together in about 10 minutes, optics look pretty good; focuser won't be confused with a feathertouch though.

The 18x Galilean eyepiece has lots of travel in one direction. Use the Plossl eyepiece...it gives a much better view and the focus for me is nicely in the middle of the focus range.

I DID get the email regarding, but have received no scopes as of yet. Of course, it's only been 5 days since I received the email. I hope they come soon though, the curiosity is killing me.

Made in China as shown in my pics from previous posts.
BTW, I just tried a regular 1 1/4-in star diagonal and generic 25mm plossl and there is not enough in travel in the focuser of the Galileoscope to reach focus. Using the 25mm plossl straight through gives a crisp upside down image.

Can you tell me your order number when you purchased the scopes. I was order# 125. I haven't received my order yet. I spoke to couple of more people who's order numbers where in the thousands. They received there orders on Monday and Tuesday. I am hoping they didn't lose my order. Thanks for your help

Order #1152 My guess is that they started with the easy ones first, the orders for large enough quantities that did not have to be removed from the large box and re-packed for shipping. I ordered 10, so I got 2 large boxes, a full one with 6 and another one with 4. I suspect that the single orders are taking a little extra time because someone is having to put them in a new box and pack with foam, etc.

Makes sense. My order number is 87 and I have not received them yet. I ordered 4 and suspect mine order requires repacking. I had email exchange with Rick regarding tracking information and he said none would be provided since setting up and maintaining a system to do so would have increased the price of the scopes. So I guess we're unfortunately in the dark until our orders arrive.

It has me a little mad. Because I order 12. They tell you that the first ones who order would receive theirs first. Thanks for the information.
