Is it possible to upgrade this telescope to a GOTO telescope? Sorry if the question is stupid but I have very little experience. It a Celestron 11" late 80's.

Remove the tube, and put it on a GoTo GEM...

Yes that it is of course a easy and a bit expensive way to do it. Is there no other way to do it?

Any other method is either unavailable or too expensive. There still is digital setting circles...this is the GOTO that you push to go. It's far easier, if you really want a GOTO to sell your telescope and buy a model with GOTO factory installed.

Thanks for the answers. This was a telescope I considered to buy. I guess buying a separate mount will make it more expensive than buy an entire new GOTOtelescope.
