We are very pleased and proud to present the September 2008 Solar System Imaging Semi-Finalists in the Imaging/Sketching Contest.

Rima Ariadaeus & Julius Caeser

Taken in early hours of 09-20-2008, 20 day old moon, seeing good. C11, FC-1000m webcam. Best 170 images from 900 stacked in Registax 4. Processed in Astra Image 3 & photoshop CS3.

Bart Declercq:

Craters Theophilus and Cyrillus

Image taken on september 19th at about 03h30UT.

Mosaic of four images, multi-aligned in Registax, best 64 frames per alignment point out of 2000-frame AVI's using Registax.

Taken with Celestron C9.25 @ F/20 through a green filter using a DMK31 camera running at 30fps.

Wavelet processing in Registax, followed by assembly, slight denoising and gamma correction using Photoshop CS2.

Jupiter taken under very good seeing. Altitude below 19°.
8-in Newton mounted on Losmandy G11; DMK21Af04.AS; Astronomik RGB.
