My second try at NGC253
      #2679716 - 10/04/08 11:35 AM Attachment (11 downloads)

Got this last night:
15x240 seconds aligned and combined with Envisage.
Additional processing done with AIP4WIN (histogram adjustments and noise removal).

Scope: Orion ST120 achromat refractor guided with an Orion ST80 and SSAG. I had a Baader Moon & Skyglow filter attached to the extension tube and a Fringe Killer on the camera.

Someday I'll attempt to get color images but for now I need to practice with monochrome.

Lots of detail in that , nice work.

Maybe a flat to get rid of dust motes.

Yep... I have to figure out how to go about that. I just figured out how to get the hot/cold pixels out using AIP4WIN. I'd like to see future versions/upgrades of Envisage allow for flats as easily as they do darks.

Deep Sky Stacker makes it pretty easy to include flats.

Good job!! I'd like to try this target again one day. You got some good detail in there.
