Lunar AP with a Dob! new
      #2689496 - 10/09/08 04:13 PM Attachment (23 downloads)

I'd love to see any moon shots that you have gotten with a dob. DMK, afocal, webcam, anything! I use a dob myself so I'd like to see the results that others have gotten with a similar setup. I used my SPC900NC webcam for both shots.
Here is one of my recent close up shots: (I don't have it on this computer but here is a link to it in another forum).

Ptolemaeus Dob Picture (I think I'm the 4th post)

Here is my full moon mosaic taken with my dob this past August.
Full Size (it gets blurry =p)

Great shots! Did all of you use autostitch for the mosaics or did you use a different program?

Hi,

All of my lunar images are taken with an 18" Starmaster Dobsonian below is a link to a picture of the scope.

Here is link to some lunar and planetary images taken with the 18" Dob, most people do not associate imaging and a Dob but it can be done and very well too.

Thanks,

Wes Higgins

Autostitch yes. And thank you for the kind words!

I have a 30x30 mosaic I did of the moon somewhere. lets see if I can find the link for you.
