I need some ideas on how to make this EP easier to pick up w/o fear of fumbling it. It is very smooth, and after it gets a little moisture on it or I'm wearing gloves in the winter it is very hard to handle. I tried to see if I could sent TV an e-mail, but I could not find an e-mail address on their website. I need to get some sort of rough knurled rubber sleeve (or equivalent) that I can add to the upper barrel. Any ideas? Thanks.

It might get messy after a while, but you could stick the "hook" part of velcro tape... this way the EP would really "stick" to those fleece gloves

Ha, then I'd need some advice on how to remove an eyepiece from my glove!

Clay; I purchased some black shelf liner at K-Mart, that is a rubberized item. You could cut a strip of this, & using double-stick tape, or a dab of glue adhere it to your eyepiece.
If you want to try it, PM me your address, & I'll send you enough for your eyepiece.

I was too thinking of a grip for my 32mm TV Wide Field.
I had the idea to use lots of rubber bands around the body...

You could get a couple of thick neoprene O-rings from a parts store and slip them over the body to give something to grip.

You could cut a couple of rings of rubber from a cycle innertube and stretch those onto the eyepiece body. The inner tube should be a fair bit smaller in diameter than the eyepiece of course so that the rings grip tightly.
I used this method to replace the rubber grips on my ED80 focusser wheels when they perished.

This may also be an option...

It seems Tele vue offers a retrofit rubber eyeguard for that EP, that could give you something to grab onto & a little better seeing at the same time.

Maybe just take a rubber band and double it over and over the barrel till it's tight. Should give a good enough grip, and it won't budge. And you can take it off easily someday if you need to.

Lots of good ideas to try Clay. One thing to consider is the pliability of the material in cold weather. I've used rubber bands down to a little below 0° F but prefer neoprene O-rings which are good to -40° F. Whatever you decide, here's a suggestion that I use in cold weather. Get yourself some well fitting (snug) latex or nitrile gloves to wear under your regular gloves. They provide better grip in cold & moist weather and protect your hands from wind chill. While the rubber bands, O-rings, inner tube material, etc. are half the equation, your fingers are the other half.

Neatly cut a slice of a bicycle inner tube and you will have a black rubber band. Stretch this around the eyepiece and that should provide a nice grip.

Use a couple of the thick rubber bands that hold broccoli clumps together. Two of those will give you a good firm grip. I've had two on my old TV 32mm plossl for many years.
