Eyepieces for ETX125PE
      #2692517 - 10/11/08 09:20 AM

I'm looking to purchase some eyepieces for my ETX125PE. I have the eyepiece that came with it and I also have a #126 Barlow lens. I'm looking for a set that can enhance my viewing. Thanks for the help!!

Eddie

Hi EddieLub --

IMO Televue's Radians are well suited for ETX maks, with about a 60 degree field of view and good, long eye relief at around 20 mm. Here's a Link.

What do you intend on looking at should help with EP recommendation. I use 2" widefields to 6mm planetaries for different targets. The 26mm supplied with the etx just squeezes the moon into the field so one EP could be longer focal length than 26mm. Last night Jupiter would not show more detail with anything smaller than a 12mm. To use the smaller focal length EPs (Like 6MM)you need still, clear air which is rare.
One of the advantages of the maks is that they work well with less expensive EPs.
