Its been a full year since I last imaged with the ETX 70-poor weather, and other scopes- so many toys so little time -but finally got out last week and added M25 and M 23
http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/n_mukkavilli/Messier%20Objects%20with%20an%20ETX%2070/
also posted M 9 which I acquired some while ago and never posted
nothing new added but here's the Caldwell list for anyone interested
http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/n_mukkavilli/Caldwell%20Objects%20with%20an%20ETX%2070/
and here's a couple of other more exotic targets
http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/n_mukkavilli/Other%20Deep%20Space%20Objects/
I really have to pick up my game...at the going rate of about 3 objects a year, when, oh when will I manage the entire Messier and Caldwell list ?

usually best images from 50 thirty second images with Orion Deep Space Imager I stacked in Maxim DL Essentials and processed and resized in photoshop
thanks for looking

Seeker, Excellent AP, enjoyed the slide show immensely! That starshoot is an impressive camera, well done. I'm kinda stuck in working out the kinks with polar alignment with my ETX; chasing the grail with respect to longer exposure without major mods ...
Thanks for sharing,

thanks for the interest, that Orion Starshoot I teams really nicely with the ETX 70..maybe the later versions would too but I havent had a chance to try
Polar aligning helps a lot but I am still limited to 30 seconds exposures-but that seems to bring most Messiers into play

seeker372011, I am a newbie and when my GOTO beeps to tell me I have slewed to a M-object, I am not really sure what I should see.....now I know!!! THANKS!
Should I expect to see (much) less with my ETX-125PE?

yes and ...no
you wont see the colour in most objects..but you should see more detail at the longer focal length-as long as your sky conditions are reasonable
what you can reasonably expect to see is something more like these sketches
