Actualy I would love that shirt it would go well with the blue telescope tie that Debbie got me. You know the one Carol posted. It came in the mail and is very cool!! Now I just need to learn to tie it.

You guys need to tease me about AR6es now! I got hold of the first two ever made by Meade, the (prototypes)from Tim Smith former engeneer that worked for meade... So I have been deep skying and testing the lenses!! Funstuff Thursday night was Open house at the school observatory and we had about 80 kids come and get the moon burnt into their memories!!!! Well I hope you guys are having fun and keeping the glass side up... CAVEMAN

I love that Nippon Kogaku shirt and the ZOSO shirt. I really had to resist the urge to dent my PayPal!

(I still might snag one or both in the coming days)

I pulled the trigger on the Zeiss shirt today.

A small scope that gets used often is a better investment than a big scope that stays in the closet.

Unitrons, you spend more time looking at them than you do through them.

so Clint .. What are your thoughts on the AR6 performance?
I've never looked through one .... and as you've enjoyed world-class scopes .... I'd love to hear your opinions.

Re: AR6 and AZ trecker monster on mart new [Re: scopelover]
      #2757296 - 11/17/08 11:49 PM

AZ trecker monster on a mart The AR six has a mint lens in it now and is a great addition for deepsky work. The star tests are nice with a very pleasing wide field view with 2" 35mm panoptic. The only thing that I have noticed is the coating on these are not that great .

Why is it that so many of these people "Know very little about these things"? I'm beginning to think that it's a catch all phrase to reduce any responsibility for things not being correct, or for missing parts, etc. Then again, maybe these people are truly not that smart. I don't know.

When the scope's eyepiece end is aiming at the sky, I generally take them at their word.
