I was about to send in my ETX for supercharging but found out the new price is $325 and about $100 for shipping.
That is a bit over what I can justify for a $400 scope.

Hopefully someone who has actually had it done will answer. I don't think I would do it for a scope just used for viewing. But if you are into AP, it might be worth it. Heck, you can spend $700 in a heartbeat for a AP 'suitable' mount. Better yet, maybe you could see one in action!

I asked myself the same question. I figured it wasn't worth it. Sold the ETX and bought a WO EZ-Touch and Orion ED80 w/ 2-speed crayford.

If you go to Mike "Weasner's Mighty ETX" site he has the communications from Dr. Clay that detail the process he goes through for Supercharging an ETX.
