Took advantage of a clear night last night to shoot this mosaic. It's 15 images with a 5" mak and Orion StarShoot Solar System Imager II. Seeing was moderate, a bit swimmy but with enough moments of stability to make it worthwile.
My favorite region is Clavius and the lighting was just perfect last night to really show off this one. I was quite happy to catch numerous craterlets in the floor, along with enough low-angle lighting to show off some of the surface texture. It was not the all-time best view I've had of Clavius but it was pretty good.
Clear skies.

Here is the close up of Clavius. Not too bad a view, considering I was looking over my tile rooftop and the asphalt street beyond.
Clear skies.

Steve ; nice images, especially the close up of Clavius. Here we had a rain front move through , followed by a really cold cold front. But between the two for approximately 40 minutes at 8 pm the sky cleared gloriously. Lady Luna was posing in the south so out came the C102 and my junk ,HP, point and shoot digital camera. All shots are afocally through a 17mm ep. My full moon image.

Sinus Iridum highlighted from the front. Promontorium Laplace was casting a long shadow. The Jura mountains, with Bianchini highlighted, really looked massive tonight.

I like the bright crescent of Iridium in your wide shot. Nice catch, right on the terminator. And Copernicus does show a nice splash, doesn't it?
