My old 8" Celestron Starhopper and my old Meade 24mm SWA eyepiece. I can't resist this tag team duo every time I'm observing. Clear skies to you all!

The sweet spot for me typically is with my 18" f/4.5 and the 12 Nagler. It usually provides a steady enough view, dark enough background, and enough magnification to pick out structure/detail in a wide range of targets. If I push it with the 7 Nagler, the image will degrade more often (I always try though).
Hello, Mark, The 12 Nagler T2 has been my favorite eyepiece for many years, in various scopes, including f/4.5 dobs.
Until I got the 13 Ethos, which shows fainter stars, object for object, in star clusters, than the T2. I was startled when I made the comparison.
This makes me wonder if the 13 E with your socpe would be better at showing faint fuzzies? Arps and Palomars and such. Has anyone made this comparison under California dark skies?
Regards, Bill Meyers

Set my chair up, put in my 18mm Ultima on my FR'd C8, and take in the view. While I like the 12.5, for me that 18mm with the FR is Perrrrfect.
