I won a auction on ebay last week for a mess of .965 eyepieces. Although my main goal was the Celestron orthos the other eyepieces seem pretty nice as well. The 9mm is circle (T) and the 12mm looks to be KD.
Does anyone have any experience with the markings KD ? The weather is terrible here so i can't get out to use it but it looks like a nice quality eyepiece.

Excuse the dust but i have yet to clean them up, they are in really nice shape both have their box and top and bottom caps. Here is the box for KD.

Your lucky! I bet Preston Smith would have bid on those fine eyepieces. Ko = Kenco optical. I have the or9 that's really a nice eyepiece.
Congratulations,
Bill

It was a 9 day auction. KO ? That makes more sense. I am busy the next few days but i will give a review ASAP.

Hi Bill, Do you have any more information on Kenco that you can share? I've been researching early Celestron eyepieces and have about 6 1.25" examples of these with the boxes, including the 40mm and 18mm Kellners, as well as the 5mm, 6mm, 9mm and 12mm, each with their pale green boxes. The 6mm and 12mm eyepieces were purchased from an original owner who was able to confirm their purchase in November 1978 as part of a Celestron telescope package.
Regards, Blake
