AT Voyager vs Orion SVP AltAz

Voyager Orion

Just got my Voyager and sent my problematic orion AltAz back. Voyager = NO problems. The mount does not flop everytime the scope balance changes a few ounces. In fact i had my SV102 mounted and just roughly balanced. I could remove not only the EP but the 2" diagonal as well and the scope stays put! Slo Mo controls are smooth and a joy to use. Using this mount vs the Orion is like night and day. The Orion was a constant hassle. This mount gets out of the way and lets me observe.

A lot of people have had issues with the Orion AZ. I got mine sorted and it works quite well now. I'd hazard it is more stable with larger loads than the Voyager, which is the primary reason I chose it over the Voyager. It certainly carries two 15 lb OTAs with no worries.

Will the CG5 tripod fit the Voyager without modifications?

I just order the Voyager and a JMI MicroSlew.
