M-51 sketch and edited edition of my M-42 sketch

hi all.

we all know the beautiful spiral galaxy M-51. Last night i spend about 2 hours only looking at it! The heaven was moderat good, but M-51 was very beautifull!
Heres a sketch!

I also took a look at M-42 again. Because of the better seeing, was there many more details, that i didnt saw last time. For the first time in my life if was sure, that I've saw a faint tint of blue. So i made a new edition of my first M-42 sketch! Hope you like

An excellent observation of M51. This is an accurate rendering of this galaxy through your instrument. Thank you for sharing it with us all. The revised M42 observation is also excellent.

Andreas,

Wonderful rendering. I no longer see M51 this way from my backyard. I would need to pack up and drive for about 45 minutes to my south to get the same view and then the hard part would be making such a beautiful drawing.
