This is the original Vixen/Celestron Polaris mount I am talking about, not the Great Polaris or Super Polaris- just the original one.
I have seen the JMI motor and the original Vixen one and neither has a clutch that I am aware of to allow slow motion adjustment with the motor attached.
Does anyone know of a solution that fits this mounts that has a clutch? Preferably 12v....
Thanks
Brian

I have the JMI motor on my Vixen Polaris mount. Per JMI, a clutch is built into the motor and the slow motion control can be used with the motor attached.
I have used it in this way - manual operation is stiff but it does work with the motor connected, which is fine for minor adjustments.
When I plan on having an entire viewing session without using the motor, I loosen a screw in the coupling so that the slow motion control works as before and the motor is disconnected. (The RA shaft turns within the coupling and the motor shaft remains stationary.)
