Curves in the Sky
      #2949111 - 02/25/09 02:30 PM Attachment (37 downloads)

Just before and after our Uganda trip I had a couple brief evening periods with 8x56 binocular on the Trico Sky Window. I admit to being suckered by pretty star arrangements. Looking back on these two sessions, I apparently was taken by curved formations of stars (one not too far from Mirphak and then a few around the belt of Orion). The instances remimd me of a simple and little scripture in Nehemiah where God states his authorship of their creation and placement. It just tickles me that I get to enjoy seeing them.

Roland

Here is the quick sketch around the belt. The added lines are mine, of course. RB
