Post-Storm Digging Out! new
      #2946709 - 02/24/09 11:30 AM Attachment (46 downloads)

Good morning,

Well, it took me until this morning to shovel the 18" of flurries to the observatory, then a while to clean off the roof.

So, I think we're back in business. Can I interest anyone in some snow?

Marc

Marc,
WOW, that is some snow flurries. Let me ask, how was everything once you got inside?

NOPE...

You CAN NOT interest me in any snow...(and this has been a good year as we have not gotten much at all...) Snow is something I can ALWAYS do without.

BUT it seems (to me) from looking at the pictures that you actually shoveled that pathway out... You need a snow blower... LOL

I gotta tell you Marc, some of my best times have been in the observatory with a good foot of snow on board. It is quiet and tranquil. It offers a prime time to get "things" done inside.

Clear skies,

Wow Marc; if that's "flurries", I'd hate to see a heavy snowfall

I agree with Bob, you need a snowblower!

No, I'm not in the market for snow, Spring-like temps is taking mine away

Hello again,

No, I don't have a snowblower; shovels are good exercise, although too much of a good thing . . .

Inside was fine with no unwanted intrusions. When I built the observatory I insulated it and put in climate control because of the winters here. When not in use it stays at about 45-50 degrees and cools down fairly quickly for imaging. I do mostly solar imaging so the time to come to equalibrium is less than that for evenings.

At least this time of year the temps are higher and it melts quicker!

Regards, Marc

I'll take some of that snow! Since moving to Texas from Connecticut, I haven't seen that much snow in about 35 years!
