Posts come ans go so fast I miss the pages on this question that must have been posed. Can my CGE mount be brought up to CGE Pro specifications? Mostly software since phisically they are different so there isnt much to change there.

The software should be upgradeable, depending on how old your HB is. You may need to buy a new HB if your isn't flashable. I think they released the flashable HB's in late 2005 to early 2006.

Basically if you have version 4.xx firmware in your hand controller you can do the upgrade. The latest level for the CG5/CGEM/CGE and CGE Pro is 4.15.

Mine is of the latest version - purchased in Sept 08'.

Mike,
Software is the only thing that will be similiar between the two. You have the upgradeable hand controller so you can at least run the same software. You will need the cable to update the firmware though. See the article Here
