Is anyone using this mount for solar and if so, how is it working for you?

Well I am mounting my DS SM40 ED80 on one side and my Lunt 60mm CaK on the other side of my MiniTower; and am very happy with it.

The first day I roughly pointed the mount to the South in the park position, was able to slew close enough to the sun to easily get it in the FOV with the DS SM40. The CaK was a little harder, but if you have ever used a CaK OTA you know why.

I have used chalk to draw circles on my patio around the tripod legs and if I slew to park and park the scope it is simply a matter of carrying the mount and OTA outside and placing it in the circles, pluging the mount in, and slewing to the sun and I am observing in a couple of minutes.

I have also done night time observing with the mount and over all I am very happy with it. I did put some velcro on the back of the controller and on all three tripod legs; but other wise it is a stocker, and works like a charm.

Count me as a happy camper.
