What are those picture made with? Chinese water color paintings? Cause the would be really neat. Kind of a mix between then past and present of human interests and scientific knowlage. A connection to the past as if it were the present. After all the things we see in the sky are millions of years old.
In anycase I think they are great peices of art, as they make me think of the beauty of the natural world and the nobility of human curiousity. I'd love to have one of those hanging on my wall. Especially on that is hard to recognize as an astronomical object, because I think most people wouldn't expect this traditional style of art to contain such modern images. It would be a profound surprise.
I think the traditional square stamps are neat to, even if they are only second nature for the artist it represents for me a classical mindset. It is very similar to the appeal of histroic engneering feats. Even though we could acheive the same results today the process would not be as eligant or ingenuitive or resourceful.
Btw. Dec. 17th is the 101st anniversery of the Wright Brothers' first flight.
Good links 15x70!
