its that time of the year where clear skies give way to 100% humidity and fog around midnight. the upside is some great seeing for a short while. the downside is a dew explosion.
i went out on 3-11 and was able to pull in one good avi before the fog rolled in. after processing for days with literally 30 different stacks of that one avi ive finally got some results that are my favorite saturn pics so far. they may not be my technical best, but they look the most pleasing to my eye.
orion 8" f4.9 spc900nc with 3x+2x barlow 1400 frames stacked and processed in registax 4 and pscs2
i think the colors look most natural in this one as compared to the skilled posters results.

this one is closer to what i see with my eyes as far as the two major banding regions. ive had a lot of great views so far this apparition. ive been able to make out the cassini division quite a few nights.

Excellent result, well done. I've often had great seeing in foggy conditions too.

sol, excellent image! The blue channel always seems to need underweighting vs red, green whether its DMK or Toucam. I've even had "matching" histograms during capture only to have to back off on the blue. You know you have a great image when there is a moon in the final shot. Nice work
