Saturn 2009/03/17: very good seeing
      #2993427 - 03/19/09 09:49 PM

Hi all,

so many nice Saturn pics. Hope you are not bored of two more.

First, an RRGB, rendered a bit brighter, cause of Tethys placed very close to the rings at the left.

And second, animage in the methan band, which is in IR at 880nm. The filter curve has an FWHM of 50nm. Total exposure time was 21 minutes (3 Videos) with 4.8 sec exposure for each frame (caused also by dew on the secondary ).

Edit: another colour and a bit more agressive processing.

Best regards
Torsten

That's a stunning colour Saturn image, Torsten. Very clean and crisp.

Torsten, gorgeous image! I think the R substitution for L may help bring out the fine banding details when the seeing is very good. Colors well balanced. Great work

Steve

Love it!

Been thinking about upgrading to a 200mm newt but we'll see what the 150mm one can produce once I get the DMK cam!

Hi,

made up another version recently. Some other colour and a bit more aggressive processing.

regards
Torsten
