Well worth staying up for Jim - the spot is clearly visible going by Saturn - too bad for that tree though! I want to try something like this one day.....when I'm less tired!

Jim, great capture! I was also trying to image the transit but thought it was ocurring later. I will go back and check my avis from earlier in the evening. My seeing was not that good
