Last night I've made a sketch of NGC 457, or the ET Cluster / Owl Cluster in Cassiopaia.

Telescope: 8" Sky-Watcher Dobson
Magnification: 59x

Demelza,

Nice to have you back. Excellent rendering of NGC 457 and it looks like you picked the correct magnification too. It just fits your field of view.

Frank

Demelza,

I really enjoy your sketch of NGC 457. It has captured the image for me that I remember. You've made me want to view it with my 21mm and my 13mm Stratus with their 68 degree FOV. Last time I saw and sketched it was with a 25mm plossl.

Thank you!

The past few months the weather was a disaster. I'm glad that I could observe and sketch again last weekend.

The ET cluster is a nice open cluster. Not only for observing, but its also a nice sketch target.

Demelza,

Welcome back and an excellent observation of NGC 457 (ET Cluster or Owl Cluster) in Cassiopeia. This is an interesting open cluster. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
