Supporting my AT-90-EDT. Balance is crucial but once you get past that, the motions are very smooth - and solid. This mount is literally in a class by itself in that it is unlike anything else out there. Quite a bit of thought went into designing these. So far i'm very impressed.

Quite the beauty Jason. I think it matches perfectly with the AT90EDT.

Congratulations. I know everyone who has one seems to love them.
I'd like to try one but too rich for my blood (& wallet).

Jason, I noticed you have the dovetail attached to the bottom holes in the rings, which raises the center of gravity quite a bit. Does that cause you any problems on that mount, especially as heavy at the AT90 is? I've actually done the opposite with mine - attached the dovetail to the top holes of the rings in order to lower the center of gravity, and it solved most of the balance issues. I've got it set up on a Stellarvue M7 mount.

John, the screws i had were too long to use the center holes in the rings without hitting the OTA, but i like your idea of switching it around to lower the center of gravity. I'll try that

I'm curious about what you have the HH attached to. It looks like a GTO tripod but what is the "hub" that joins the HH to the tripod? Wad.

I am expecting a Half Hitch II soon as well for a TV102. I am wondering if your C-925 would work well with the HHII. I may want to also get an SCT OTA in the future to put on the mount for those times when I want more aperture and don't need to "grab and go" and I want to know what the largest OTA that can be nicely used with the Half Hitch II. Charles tells me he knows of C8 users out there, but I'd love to throw a C925 on it.
Thanks,
Steve

Wad.
The "hub" if I understand your question correctly is the bottom of the mount itself; the black anodized azimuth disc, the edge of which makes up the bearing surface for the azimuth control knob shaft (see attached image). I posted some really close up views of this arrangement (and other parts) a few weeks ago here.
Beautiful mount (and scope) by the way - these things really are functional works of art. Congrats Jason!

It's just a generic hub i had lying around from an old eq-1 mount.
