A naked eye impression of a promising springtime evening sky, as seen from my backyard.
Digital sketch made with Corel paint shop pro, based on a pencil field sketch.
Clear skies,

Rony, I really like your layout ... Orion is just plain pretty and the green tree work sets it off nicely.

Beautiful, striking, and wonderful to look at. I love the tree contrast also.

Rony,
A photo could not have captured this view as well. Beautiful sketch from top to bottom and left to right. How long did it take you to match it to the sky so well? Please use your sketch as an example for how this view would look from my yard because I can't draw it as well as you have done here. Bravo!

I did not know that you are a photo-realistic artist! Amazing mimic of photography. If you had not told even photographers and artists that this is a hand rendered digital artwork, I would not have known it as other thatn a short time exposure photograph (as it appears on my screen.) The tree branches in the lower left are photo-rrealistic. Did you use a photo image to work from?
Amazing digital artwork on your part!

Thanks for the kind replies!!
Drawing the stars was the easiest part, I use the same technique from the binocular sketches. The background is plain simple with the gradient fill tool (plus blurring and adding noise)in Photopaint. There is a small trace of a cirrus cloud, but it did not work out the way that I intended it. The hardest part was drawing the bushes, in such a way that they reflect a little bit of the light from the sky near the sunset.
Clear skies,

I thought the cirrus haze at the bottom was one of the nicer touches to this otherwise technically impeccable sketch. How did you intend it to look, Rony?

Rony,
I have always been impressed with your beautiful and accurate observations of the heavens. Your Springtime Orion observation is one of the finest that I have ever seen. I feel as if standing in a field and looking south at the mighty hunter as he traverses the sky above. Thank you very much for sharing this work of art and outstanding observation with us all.

Jeff,
Thank you!!
Here is a sketch of a scene that exists only in my imagination. The observation of Venus was real, the lighthouse too, but the two together are not. That's why I consider it astro art.
Venus and the lighthouse.
Clear skies,
