Just registered ( after 'lurking' ,lol)
Name's Pete , no surprise there then. Got into this frustrating wonderful hobby properly just before christmas.
Bought a CG5 GT w/ a Celestron 80mm Apo ( 600mm , f7.5)
Recently bought my second scope , a Skywatcher 200mm f5 Newt'
So why the thank you? Simple , whilst browsing through some previous posts here I discovered ( hopefully ) that one of the problems I was havng could maybe be sorted . Namely the mount lug for the CG5 was 'between' two legs , as opposed to above one. I am now able to properly balance my 200m . Though it took a bit of 'extra' weight to achieve this.
Main interests are DSO and Lunar, imaging and visual. Got M42 and NGC1977 , M37 and a good few Lunar shots. Nothing like the standard you guys have been getting . Still learning. Also with the problems I had with the mount and our rotten weather , oppertunities are sparse at times.
Looking forward to getting to know you guys/gals.
