Telescope Reviews: Opic Wave Labs Seek optician

We are looking for a full time optician to work our shop in Sacramento, CA.

Experience is preferred, but we will accept the right person who is motivated and attentive.

Duties will include:

Setup and operating of our diamond glass generator.
Operating polishing machines to carry out the grinding and polishing of mirrors.
Figuring polished blanks to their final surface shape.
Setting up and testing mirrors using our computerized optical testers.
Filling out tracking forms and creating optical reports
Operating our vacuum coating machine to apply optical coatings to finished mirrors.
Packaging of finished mirrors.

Applicants must be able to:

Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Stand on your feet for long periods of time.
Be able to handle many many details - optical work is all details.
Endure the boredom of optical work - it's TEDIOUS.
