Portamount or Voyager?

I want to buy an alt-azimuth mount for my FS78 for G&G set up but I donīt know which of this ones be the best choice. My set up is around 10#. I know that the difference between them are max. payload, weight....but anything else?
The price is the same.
Thanks for your advice.

Clear skies.

OK. Go with the Portamount and toss the aluminum legs and buy the wooden ones from Hands On Optics. My Porta works well. I also replaced the stock push-on slow motion knobs with longer flex cable knobs that have set screws. My mount is still light enough to carry with one hand. That's of course without a scope attached. I've heard of balance issues with the Voyager. The arm on the Voyager sticks out further. I've never felt my mount would tip over and that's when using my heaviest, longest scope.

I like the Voyager. Using it with my 6" I have had no tipping problems. I wouldn't put a 6" on a Porta.

Thanks Starlighter and Doc. I had choose the Porta over the Voyager and hope It will come to me soon. I donīt pretend to put a 6" scope on it only my 3.1" and maybe a 90mm ETX.

I got a good deal with an vendor, a really good price.
Thanks again.

Be sure to get the wooden legs. It will make a big difference in vibration time.

And although it isn't that well suited to long refractors, I have used my C4-R on it. The length was more of a problem than the weight. That said, it handled it. I never would have tried it with the aluminum legs.
