His and Hers Nectaris and Fracastorius
      #3020761 - 04/02/09 08:27 PM Attachment (38 downloads)

We had a somewhat clear night on the 30th of March but rain or fog before and after. So on the 30th I put up the C8 fitted with astro video and found Fracastorius looking like a big "U". I sketched for a bit then Linda joined me but wanted a bigger bite (Mare Nectaris). The clouds started rolling across so she had to stop before finishing. Nevertheless, still fun together.

It was a good night to give thanks. Her sketch is in the first reply.

Roland

Congrats to you both on having a really nice way to hang out together.

To me, both of you have always presented the most personal connection to the subjects in your sketched observations.

Over the years, that's always been a real treat for me.

Thanks,

Roland and Linda,

Thank you both for your excellent observations of Mare Nectaris and Fracastorius. You have both recorded this region very nicely.

I agree with Sol that your dual efforts over the years have been inspiring.

God Bless.

Carlos

Thanks Sol and Carlos. Barely started all this a little over 2 years ago in the middle of Linda's cancer treatment when we stayed South of Fort Worth...and started sketching together by running the image to a screen inside where she was sitting. Seems like ages ago, but it was not. God has been most gracious to us. Roland

Roland and Linda, the Fracastorius "Horseshoe" is a very fun crater to sketch and you've both done a marvellous job capturing it.

Thanks,

Thanks Rony and Eric. Just cleared tonight; we hope to sketch tomorrow night...it is the only night predicted to be clear for several days.

Roland

Roland and Linda,

An excellent pair of high power sketches of a favorite lava flooded crater. Linda nicely captured the wide view including the maria and Roland you got the close view. Beautifully and skillfully done both of you.

Frank
