I've burned out one Dremel building pistol grips (which it did pretty good at by the way) but for building a scope all it's good for is deburring metal parts. You'd be better off buying a cheap circular saw. And I don't think too highly of them! What tools do you have now? The most used tool in my kit is the cordless drill/screwdriver. As for the Dremel, it's the new model I'm thinking of. As for tools I already have, well I can borrow almost anything, but I'd like to have something versitile to make up the gaps.
