hi all;
Are these maxon motors really worth it?!?!?
I have a slightly older g11 gemini and the thing works great and the motors (standard one) give me no problems at all
So other than drain $200 out of my wallet what advantage can I expect?!?!?

In some other projects I have used Maxon DC-motors and I can say that they are high quality products but...
The prognosis of fixing unbroken is not good. The best case is that nothing happens.

If the standard motors are OK for you then no need to spend another US $ 300.00 per motor ...

They will supply more torque and be a little smoother, but they will not improve the PE or performance of the mount. So unless you are having issues, I would not think it would be the better money spent.
The Ovision Worm would be a better improvement for the money spent.
