As of right now the CGE is NOT discontinued. This may change but right now they are still being made and available.

At $2600-2700 I'd grab one while you can ... there is nothing like it in the same price range.

I agree,the CGE can NOT be beat at this price point..IMHO,celestron would NOT be making a very smart move to discontinue this mount...just my
