I'm trying to determine if I can power the EM-200 mount with a 12v DC cigarette lighter adapter. The EM-200 looks like it uses an "M" type plug - does anyone know for certain if it is, and what the amp rating of the mount is, and if a normal 12V adapter could also be used at 24V with two batteries in series or would I need a different adapter? I see there are adapters available that say they will power from 12V to 24V but I don't know if that is true in all cases. Sorry for all the questions but I have googled this and can't get any definitive answers. Thanks I'd appreciate any input or suggestions on the subject. Not sure why you couldn't use the cigarette adapter. Also my manual shows the 200 uses 500ma at normal operation and 2.5A at high speed. These are for 12vdc. I have labeled my various mains adapters as some of my non-Tak equipment is centre pin –ve.
