Just got the Mach1 nod.... I think I'll have to pass....Gotta give the CGEM a fair shot at 1/4 the cost. There's always next year.

Yeah I got the notification too. I already own an EM-200 and a custom case from Scope Guard. I think i might pass it up as well. I don't really believe in buying one and then trying to price gouge someone else just to make a quick buck.

I don't think I could ever consider the big bucks for my hobby. The purchase of the CGEM had my wife wondering if I'd gone mad (possibly), but I am very happy with its performance.

And my wife thought the EZ touch price was too much.

I'm beginning to think I'm the only guy who said yes when the notification came this time around.

Now if all of you guys would please just say no to the Gran Turismo when your numbers are up, I might actually score one in a couple years or so....

I heard from a reliable source that only 2-3 more runs of the 130 are scheduled. My name will never come up.

What kind of AP scopes will be made, if no 130, would there be 160s or 140s again?

I don't want to start any rumors. I'll let AP announce that.

Parents probably just need to put their kids on all the AP waiting list during the baby shower.

Roland was just today discussing another run of the 140's in a thread on the Yahoo ap-ug group. It will almost certainly be a different scope, i.e., a 140 in a lighter package with a few more tweaks but nothing imminent. So, does this mean our existing 140's are going to be highly rare or less desireable, LOL?

I'm surprised to hear what Luke said about the GT. I remember reading somewhere (on ap-ug maybe?) that they were going to keep rolling these out and that the list was going to go a lot faster and further than typical for AP OTAs.

I also noticed that on AP's telescope page it still says they are planning to upgrade the 105's (and they still maintain a Traveler list). I thought the 105 was a non-starter for AP though. Who knows, I guess Roland plays these things close to his chest and they do seem to have come out with a lot of different scopes (140, 130GT) and prototypes (i.e., 305 Mak/Ca and Riccardi-Honders) in the last couple of years. Given the saturated market at this aperture and smaller, I don't see a lot of room for another 4" but there might just be a lot of interest from those lusting for AP.
